A BIT ABOUT US
David and I were married in August 1993.  We live in Banbridge, a lovely country town in the heart of County Down, Northern Ireland.  We don't have any children but we do have an extremely cute little tabby cat named Fudge, a fluffy black-and-white cat named Charlie (who we believe to be part Maine-Coon) and another small black puss named Purdy.  They rule our home with little velvet paws of iron!  Sadly, our beloved Demitri ("DM" for short) passed away suddenly on 28th June 2008 and DM's older sister, Matilda, died on 3rd October 2004.  We miss them both but are thankful for the joy they brought into our lives and continue to treasure happy memories of them both.  You can read about our current feline family, and our memorial to DM and Matilda, in our pets section below.

David and I met while we were both employed by The Queen's University of Belfast.  David is a senior Computer Engineer, currently specialising in the area of Computer Mediated Communications and, until March 2001, I was personal secretary to the Professor of Food Microbiology.  Since then, however, I've chosen to become a full-time housewife and home-maker and I'm thoroughly enjoying the change in direction my life has taken.  I recommend early retirement to all my friends!

David is a fully accredited Local Preacher in the Methodist Church in Ireland.  Click HERE to read one of his sermons and, if you'd like to read some more, simply visit the House Group's Sermons page.  (David is also the Lay Secretary to the Local Preachers' Committee for the Methodist Church in Ireland).

You can read about our other interests, hobbies etc in that section below

OUR HOPE
"Guide us in your Truth and teach us for You are God our Saviour and our Hope is in You".
(Psalm 25:5)
David and I are Christians first and Methodists second.  We currently attend Edenderry Methodist Church and are convicted of the fact that "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).   You can read what we believe and why (including The Apostles' Creed), by clicking on the highlighted link.  We are also in agreement with the famous "Four-Alls", as taught by John Wesley.  These are that:

All men need to be saved.
All men can be saved.
All men can know themselves saved.
All men can be saved completely, through Christ Jesus.

Someone once wrote "The supreme need in every hour of difficulty is a vision of God".  Are you seeking true peace and salvation?  If so, then please read about the spiritual laws that lead to eternal life and make your decision today.  Jesus Christ can change you and your life, if you'll let Him!  Don't delay. It's the most important decision you will ever make!    Click on the open Bible to read this month's scripture verse.

THE HOUSE GROUP
gather around
the Word.
We have the privilege of hosting a small gathering of Christian friends in our home every Friday night for praise, prayer, bible study and fellowship.  We have created a website for this House Group because we firmly believe that such small groups are vital for the nurturing and development of Christians today. We hope you will be inspired, challenged and encouraged by the study topics, sermons and thoughts shared on these pages.  Please do call in and say hello by signing the House Group's Guestbook.  The site is for web-friends too!

NO GUEST BOOK
Sadly, owing to a barrage of abusive and obscene spam messages (why do people enjoy doing that?), we have had to remove the Guestbook facility from our website.  We apologise to all those genuine and sincere folk who kindly signed our book over the years, leaving their comments, suggestions and good wishes.  We hope to find another, safer, service for our Guestbook in due course.  Please be patient.
